Can snow depth be used to predict the distribution of the high Arctic aphid Acyrthosiphon svalbardicum (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on Spitsbergen?

The number of patches occupied is given as absolute figure in relation to the 282 patches surveyed, and as a percentage of the total number of patches with the given phenology that are occupied by the aphid. Additionally the percentage of each aphid life stage (from the scored oviparae/male, viviparae and eggs) scored at each plant phenological stage is presented.
