Forest dependency index. A forest dependency index (FDI) was established based on species occurrences in three major habitat categories (forest, secondary growth, non-forest); FDI: D dependent, solely detected in forests, SD slightly dependent, species occurring in forests and habitats with secondary growth, I forest independent species, occuring not in primary forests, i.e. only in habitats with secondary growth and/or non-forested habitats, NR species with no response, occurring in all three habitat categories or forest and non-forest habitats
